Local historic districts (Greensboro Street, Nash Street, Overstreet) are under the Historic Preservation Commission. Exterior changes need a Certificate of Appropriateness. Search summaries say routine replacement of asphalt shingles with like materials is exempt, and a 2017 COA required roofing matching existing size and color.
